1. Introduction

Scripture Snaps ("we," "our," or "the Service") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use our application. By using Scripture Snaps, you consent to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you sign in, we receive basic profile information from our authentication provider, including your name and email address. This information is used to create and manage your account.

User Content

We store the content you create within the Service, including uploaded images of sermon handouts, manually written notes, personal reflections, key points, and any other text you enter. This content is stored securely and is only accessible to you unless you choose to share it.

Usage Data

We may collect anonymous usage analytics to improve the Service, such as page views and feature usage patterns. This data does not personally identify you.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
  • Process and store your sermon notes and personal reflections
  • Extract text from uploaded images using AI-powered optical character recognition
  • Fetch scripture references from third-party Bible services on your behalf
  • Enable sharing features when you choose to share your notes publicly
  • Send you important notifications about the Service

4. AI Processing

When you upload an image, it is processed by an AI service to extract text, key points, and scripture references. The uploaded images are stored in our cloud storage for your continued access. AI processing is performed solely to provide the extraction feature and your content is not used to train AI models.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in secure cloud databases and storage services. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. Your content is private by default. When you use the sharing feature, only the sermon note content (title, scripture, key points, and questions) is made accessible via a unique link — your personal notes and reflections are never included in shared content.

7. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party services for authentication, scripture lookup (Blue Letter Bible), and AI text extraction. These services have their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them. We only share the minimum information necessary for these services to function.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate personal data
  • Delete your account and all associated data
  • Export your notes (via the PDF export feature)
  • Revoke sharing access to any of your shared documents at any time

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us so we can promptly remove it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by posting the new policy within the application. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.

11. Contact
